LAST-MINUTE LINEUP: Where to go in under 75-minutes to find just what you’re looking for!
If you’re packing for Coachella, daydreaming about Stagecoach, or simply feeling a surge of fringy festival vibes in the air, we’re right there with you. Post-sundown in Santa Barbara is already getting warmer which means Hendry’s beach bonfires, swinging shopping bags down State Street in bare shoulders, and so much music music music rolling across California festival grounds.
As you polish off your packing, we made you a handy list for all those last-minute festival must-finds. Our downtown parking lots are free for 75-minutes so we’re making that today’s shopping timer. We picked the best Paseo Nuevo shops for sunnies and shorts, bralettes and bracelets, travel-size eye masks and body spray, all ready for you to walk-in today to shop these sales. All our stores are full of new spring collections. And with spring runways rocking crochet separates, the usual festival fringe in suede, 70’s throwback prints, and sexy shoulder cutouts, it’s as if the industry designed this year’s spring trends specifically for a festival season. In reality, festival is becoming a season of it’s own, wedged right between spring and summer, with exclusive collections for summer road trips to wherever you’re getting your jam on.
As Californians, we have the amazing advantage of wearing bohemian all summer – almost year – so it pays to shop smart and buy looks to last. Fast fashion is fun but clothes that are one rain or sandstorm away from garbage are not! If you want Santa Barbara shopping with a diverse selection of affordable, high-quality clothing collections, super accessible parking in the heart of downtown, and outdoor paseos dotted with local artists, pizza shops, and 40-calorie bowls of (basically) ice-cream, Paseo Nuevo is your spot. Shopping days are better with sunshine and every brand you’re looking for in one place.

- Inspire (new!)
All three shops are in their festival flow right now with wall-to-wall classic items: bralettes, bohemian rompers, airy crop tops, a few body suits, crochet everything, soft printed shorts etc. If your to-buy list is long, these will be your lucky spots. If you’re looking for shorts or swim specifically, keep scrolling.
Aveda is going to make this shopping list 3x! As a brand renown for being authentically earth-loving, Aveda is a natural choice for your weekends away. Everything is eco-friendly and plant based and we are all about that. Recommendations would be their Mineral Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 and Nourish-mint Renewing Lip Treatment.
Aveda Aveda Aveda. The dry shampoo secret is out and there’s no place better for hair care at Paseo Nuevo than their little shop in Center Court. Pick up Aveda’s Dry Shampoo and Travel Sized Shampure Shampoo & Conditioner (just $4.50 each) if you’re in need of some hair care.
3 for $12 travel size daily trio from Bath & Body Works! Body spray, shower gel, and lotion set all at 3oz a piece (hello carry ons!). These will last long past the weekend and will make a perfect gym bag addition. Your tentmate will appreciate this one.
A weekend out is good for your heart and mind, so it’s nice to include your body into that wellness too. On top of staying super hydrated, eye masks will keep you feeling fresh and looking less like a sleepless mosh victim and more like a Mohave desert goddess.
Travel size eye masks at Sephora are just $4-6 and perfect for slapping on as you slide into a sleeping bag or run off toward the silent disco. They offer travel size masks and mask creams; the latter are teeny-tiny made-for-fannies, so if you’re out with eyes feeling sleepy, you have a solution. Plus, yoga has to be easier in the morning if you look radiantly awake.
Cotton On is 2 for $25 swim separates! They also have these sweet circle towels that were made to hang out in your campsite.
BOGO 50% American Eagle shorts right now! A wide selection of short shorts that will basically last a lifetime.
Solstice obviously is your one stop shopping spot for killer shades. If your budget is the boss, then try just across the paseo: Cotton On sunglasses are just $9.95 with a fun, playful collection of sunny styles.
Jewelry + Bags

Their bag selection is also awesome (and on sale). Francesca’s does feminine at it’s absolute finest. It’s right on State – if you haven’t stopped in yet, get with it – with a boutique feel and plenty of fringe and flounce. Go here for accessories!
#AvedaColor is a vibrant new hair color system from Aveda. And. It’s. gorgeous. Adding a little color to your hair for the weekend is a no-brainer – you’re not suppose to shower for the first few days anyways right?
